One Kind Word

Did you know that maintaining even a second of brief eye contact with someone increases a sense of inclusion and belonging? And further, engaging in conversation with someone increases feelings of satisfaction and overall well-being? Inspired by the message of saucha, Mirabella seeks to inspire these feelings in her community and remind people that it costs nothing to engage in a kind moment with a stranger.

MISSION: To motivate people to drop their guard, put away their phone for a moment, and say hi to a stranger. To start a ripple effect of friendliness in which people are encouraged to engage with their community.

GOAL: To talk to as many people in her community who are open to receiving a “kind word” in the form of affirmations and positive thoughts. Mirabella hopes to encourage feelings of kindness and warmth, and break down a sense of isolation by reminding people we are all neighbors on this earth.
