At Sankofa we have a saying, “life be lifin" -- it’s an assertion of life’s ever-changing moments and the daily measures taken to navigate and cope. Life transitions are significant changes or events in an individual's life that can have a profound impact on their overall well-being, identity, and future. We all experience transitions throughout various stages of life — big and small, planned, and unplanned. Transitions can involve career changes, marriage and partnership, parenthood, divorce, retirement, new family dynamics, or even major milestones. Each life transition comes with its unique set of challenges and opportunities and at times leads to stress and anxiety. Throughout the series, we will explore various types of life transitions, coping strategies, and techniques, identifying areas for personal growth, and goal setting. Life transitions are an inevitable part of our journey, and understanding how to navigate them can lead to personal development and a more fulfilling life. This series is led by Billie Shabazz, LCSW-C. To learn more about Billie Shabazz, click here.
