UPDATE: April 1, 2020 [#AloneTogether]

Peace Sankofa Family,

Here we are in week 3. Our "new normal" as it's being referenced. While we are all still making adjustments to our daily lives, re-configuring our routines and re-aligning our social lives, let us begin to meditate on what it is that we are learning, unlearning, giving and sharing at this time.  


Community is felt more than ever. People are coming together in solidarity to stop the spread of the virus, assisting front-line workers and kids and families in need. In homes and across borders, we are coming together and sharing more laughs + love. The air quality and bodies of water around the world are becoming cleaner + restoring itself. This. Is. Stillness -- and it is our theme of the month. 

Here at Sankofa Yoga & Wellness Center we are committed to helping you maintain your peace of mind while still engaging in community. We are so grateful for the support you all have shown so far. Not only to us, but for yourselves. Maintaining a home yoga practice may not be easy, but you all are doing it with grace and compassion.

While our in-person classes are suspended due to COVID-19, we are happy to still offer all our classes virtually. Stay in practice with us in the comfort and safety of your own home! We are currently using a private Facebook Group to Livestream our classes. If you do not have Facebook we will you send a link to another platform. 


If this is your first time at Sankofa Yoga and you would like to join us virtually, click here to purchase our two-week unlimited pass for $25! You will be provided a link upon purchase.

UPDATE: March 16, 2020 [Classes will be held online this week]

Peace Sankofa Family,


We have been intensely monitoring CDC and WHO updates for the most current information and recommendations as to how to respond to the coronavirus pandemic.


As leaders in the wellness space, Sankofa Yoga and Wellness Center is trusted with the health and well-being of our teachers and students and is committed to adopting the practices that offer the best protection for our communities.


Due to the increasingly rapid transmission of COVID-19, we must align with other global institutions and organizations to do our part to limit the spread of this disease.


In the effort to keep you on the mat and support your health and well-being during this health crisis and elevated stress, we are suspending all in-studio classes this week (3/16 - 3/21) and instead offering all of our classes online. We are committed to providing you a space to practice yoga and connect.


Members, class-pass holders, and those currently exploring their two-week unlimited will be able to take classes from their PC, tablet or smartphone in the comfort and safety of their own home. 


Our class schedule will remain the same, and your favorite instructor will still lead the class. Just roll out your mat + flow!

We will determine when to resume in-studio classes using the most updated and comprehensive information.


Continue to visit this page for updates on how we will be holding space for you in the days ahead. We will stay in constant communication.

Together we can flatten the curve, protect our communities, and preserve our opportunity to offer dope yoga and dope vibes safely for years to come.

This can be a very stressful and fearful time, so below we have shared guided meditation and sound healing sessions to help ease your mind and spirit.
